As stated on ABC Metro Washington’s website:
The Excellence in Construction Awards (EIC) recognizes and celebrates outstanding projects built by Washington-area ABC members annually. The awards competition serves to raise the level of construction standards throughout the industry by recognizing the workmanship of those who contribute and by showcasing the results of their dedication. Teamwork and cooperation between general contractors, specialty contractors, and material suppliers are prerequisites for building excellence into any construction project.
The project recently received LEED Gold Certification. BBGM designed the new 154-room Cambria hotel located at 69 Q Street SW in downtown Washington, DC, for Donohoe Development, and was built by Donohoe Construction. The hotel resides within three miles of the U.S. Capitol, the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums and other major attractions. It features a fitness center and 2,500 square feet of multi-function meeting space. The Cambria hotel includes a full-service restaurant & bar, scenic rooftop bar and terrace with views of the capital skyline, Nationals Park and Audi Field. The welcoming lobby with an expansive LED wall creates a dynamic experience. BBGM served as the Architect for the project.
The development has garnered industry-wide press coverage, including the likes of PR Newswire, Hotel Management, Yahoo! Finance, Washington Business Journal and Hotel Online.
