Lansdowne Resort, A Destination Hotel has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation, transforming the 500-acre Loudon County property into a D.C. area luxury retreat. The expansive renovation included a redesign of the resort’s 282 guestrooms, 14 signature suites and extravagant Presidential Suite. The resort’s distinctive location as the gateway to Virginia Wine Country inspired the design, which boasts a contemporary country theme incorporating vino-centric elements.
The color palette of the new guestrooms was influenced by their picturesque views over the expansive country estate, with soft, earth-toned colors capturing the essence of wine country. Furniture and décor pay homage to Northern Virginia’s wine country, with bar carts employed as mini bars, ‘wine cask’ nightstands, and glasses made from recycled wine bottles. Additionally, all of the rooms were designed with convenient technology and workplace, for travelers looking to mix business with pleasure.
