BBGM in Work Design Magazine
BBGM Director, Al Gooden, published an article in Work Design Magazine titled "The Urban Suburban". In the article, Gooden describes the trend of commercial office tenants leaving the city for more affordable office spaces. As property managers in the city work to lure tenants back, an increasing number of suburban landlords are being forced to renovate their office buildings into sleek, contemporary spaces, in order to compete with their urban counterparts. BBGM was in the news. BBGM, a boutique architectural and interior design firm is the architect for luxury Watergate hotel. BBGM is excited to add another prominent D.C.'s big-name hotel to its portfolio. The firm designed the Mandarin Oriental, renovations at the Sofitel Lafayette Square, W hotel and the Omni Shoreham in Woodley Park.

Marriott to Open DCs Newest and Largest Hotel in Spring 2014, Interiors by BBGM
"The Marriott Marquis Washington will be the largest hotel in DC, connected to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The hotel will have a massive 1,175 rooms, including 49 suites, 105,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meetings space, five dining outlets, a high-tech concierge lounge, and a bi-level health club.

Financing Secured, Donohoe to Break Ground on Ballston Hotel
The Residence Inn by Marriott at Arlington Ballston, which will be located at 650 North Quincy St, will be Ballston's first extended-stay hotel. Designed by architecture firm BBGM, the 183-suite contemporary hotel will include 1,880 square feet of retail space, 111 underground parking spaces, an indoor pool and whirlpool and a landscaped terrace. BBGM wins two AIA DC Design Awards
AIA DC awards the renovation of the W Hotel in Washington DC and the Workhouse Arts Center projects with Merit Awards in the Historic Resources category. All of this year's award winners were honored in a ceremony on September 22, 2011.
